Jack Grealish, the 30-year-old Manchester City winger, was observed enjoying drinks with a group of female friends at a Manchester beer garden on Saturday afternoon. The outing took place while his England teammates were preparing for a World Cup semi-final match.
Grealish, who is currently recovering from a stress fracture in his foot that ended his season and World Cup hopes, was pictured at Dukes 92 restaurant. He was seen with a bottle of champagne and later ordered Grey Goose vodka. Images from the event showed Grealish appearing relaxed and in high spirits, though at one point he seemed to slump forward in his chair.
The footballer has not played for England in nearly two years, but he has been supporting the Three Lions from afar during the current tournament, sharing their games from his home. He made 22 appearances on loan at Everton last season, scoring two goals and providing six assists early on, but suffered a stress fracture in January that required surgery.
Earlier in the summer, Grealish took a family holiday to Barbados with his girlfriend Sasha Attwood and their daughter Mila. They stayed at the five-star Sandy Lane Hotel. Grealish is looking to return to full fitness and is expected to watch England's upcoming World Cup semi-final match against Argentina.
England secured their place in the semi-finals with a 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway. Jude Bellingham scored both goals in that match. The team is currently undefeated in the tournament. The semi-final against Argentina marks the first time the two nations have faced each other in the World Cup in 21 years.
