The men's gymnastics team final at the Commonwealth Games was briefly suspended after England's Gabriel Langton suffered a serious injury falling from the high bar. Langton landed on his head and neck area and was taken from the Glasgow International Arena on a stretcher.

The competition paused for 30 minutes while Langton received medical attention. He was seen lying still on the ground before his legs reportedly began to move. Fans applauded as the gymnast was moved away in a neck brace.

Following the disruption, the gymnasts were permitted another warm-up, and the competition resumed. Luke Whitehouse, who was scheduled to compete after Langton, described the situation as "really tough" but added that the team had to "reset" and focus on their routines. Whitehouse noted the "togetherness of the team" and expressed pride in how the athletes continued.

Despite the incident, Alexander Yolshin-Cash and Adam Tobin delivered successful routines, helping England secure the silver medal. Canada won the event for the first time in 20 years, with Australia taking bronze. This marked the first time since the 2010 Delhi Games that England had not won gold in the men's gymnastics team final.

Joshua Nathan, Tobin, Whitehouse, and Yolshin-Cash accepted their silver medals, while Langton remained absent as he received further treatment. Nathan described the medal as "beautiful" and "special" after the "rollercoaster" of the day, reiterating the team's thoughts were with Langton. Tobin echoed these sentiments, stating the team had to "pull together, keep our heads down and do our jobs."
