A pet guinea pig has captured attention for its striking resemblance to footballer Erling Haaland, becoming a highlight of the sixth annual Urbina Guinea Pig Festival in Ecuador. David Guerrero, the guinea pig's owner and a participant in the event, dressed his pet in Viking horns to emulate the Norwegian striker.

The festival, which celebrates the Andean rodent, saw a variety of creative costumes for the participating guinea pigs. Other notable outfits included representations of Cleopatra, the Beast from "Beauty and the Beast," and a postman. Another guinea pig was seen dressed in traditional Andean clothing.

Haaland, known for his 6-foot-5-inch stature and prolific goal-scoring, was recently a prominent figure in the 2026 World Cup. Norway's participation in the tournament, aided by Haaland's seven goals, marked their most successful performance to date, reaching the quarter-finals.
