San Francisco Giants outfielder Harrison Bader will miss the remainder of the season after a scooter accident that resulted in a foot injury. The team confirmed Thursday night that the free agent acquisition's season has concluded.

Bader was reportedly involved in the incident late Sunday night after bar-hopping in San Francisco's Marina District. Shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, he was seen leaving Balboa Cafe, a bar owned by Governor Gavin Newsom. The accident occurred moments later, when Bader crashed his scooter into a fire truck, which then ran over his foot.

This incident is not the first time Bader has been involved in a scooter-related accident. In 2014, while at the University of Florida, he was suspended for 19 games after allegedly being intoxicated and crashing a scooter into a parked car. He was found unconscious at the scene of that accident.

Before the recent crash, Bader was scheduled to see a foot and ankle specialist on Monday in Indianapolis for plantar fasciitis in his left foot. The injury from the scooter accident, however, means he will not make that appointment, and his season is over.

News of the accident and its consequences led to widespread reaction on social media. Fans and users on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) shared humorous and critical posts about the outfielder's situation. Some posts referenced his past scooter incident, while others made light of his current injury and its impact on his season.
