Fulham has submitted a revised offer of £25 million for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, according to reports. The Championship club had previously seen an initial bid rejected for the Northern Ireland international.

Southampton has been seeking £30 million for the 22-year-old, but Charles is reportedly eager to move to the Premier League, a division he missed out on last season. Leeds United had previously withdrawn from negotiations after making offers they deemed reasonable.

Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa, fresh from securing the signings of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios from Real Madrid for a combined £46 million, is looking to further strengthen his squad with the acquisition of the former Manchester City academy player.

The Cottagers are also reportedly in discussions to sign Thiago Pitarch from Real Madrid.
