Francesca Hennessy is reportedly in negotiations for an undisputed world title fight against champion Dina Thorslund, with the bout potentially taking place in the United Kingdom later this year. BBC Sport understands that Hennessy's promotional outfit, Boxxer, has made an offer to the Danish champion Thorslund.
Boxxer has proposed an offer close to £250,000 for Thorslund to face the 21-year-old Hennessy in November or December. Hennessy, currently the WBC's number one ranked challenger, has the opportunity to become the youngest undisputed world champion in the four-belt era if she defeats Thorslund.
"I can confirm we have made Dina Thorslund an offer that we believe represents the highest payday of her career to come to the UK and face Francesca Hennessy," Boxxer promoter Ben Shalom told BBC Sport. "Fran is one of the most exciting young fighters in the sport and has the opportunity to make history by becoming the youngest-ever undisputed world champion. This would be a huge fight, and we're very keen to make it happen."
Thorslund's manager, Lee Eaton, confirmed that discussions are ongoing with Hennessy's representatives. "Boxxer knows what gets the fight made. Let's see if they can come up with the money and broadcaster deal," Eaton stated. Moses Itauma faces off with Filip Hrgovic
