The Football Association (FA) has strengthened its rules regarding discrimination in football, introducing a minimum 10-match ban for individuals found guilty of such offenses. This change, effective for the upcoming season, applies to players, managers, and anyone in the technical area.
Previously, suspensions for aggravated breaches of FA Rule E3.2, which covers misconduct related to ethnic origin, color, race, nationality, religion, sex, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, or disability, ranged from six to 12 matches. The FA stated that this enhanced sanction is part of its ongoing commitment to fostering a game free from discrimination.
