Video footage of the event shows fireworks launching parallel to the ground and into the seating areas, prompting fans to seek cover in the concourse. Despite the unexpected trajectory of the fireworks, no injuries were reported. The team and the fireworks company, Pyro Shows, are investigating the cause of the malfunction.
Fans who remained in the stands after the game witnessed the pyrotechnics deviate from their intended upward trajectory. Some spectators were filmed moving away from the seating areas as the fireworks appeared to careen into the bleachers. The mishap occurred later in the season than the typical Fourth of July celebrations, which are commonly associated with fireworks displays.
