Ferran Torres, who scored the decisive goal for Spain in the World Cup final, has transferred to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona. The 26-year-old forward has agreed to a contract with the French club that extends until 2031, for a reported fee of approximately 50 million euros (£42.7 million).

Torres's move follows a strong season with Barcelona, where he scored 21 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions, contributing three assists and helping the team secure the La Liga title. He previously played for Barcelona since 2022, after a two-year spell at Manchester City.

Paris Saint-Germain, managed by former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique, has recently added to its squad. Torres is the second notable forward to join PSG this summer, following Maghnes Akliouche's arrival from Monaco. The club also recently secured the Uefa Super Cup by defeating Aston Villa 2-1.

Torres has represented Spain 65 times, scoring 25 goals. He made his debut for the national team under Luis Enrique's management. PSG may also see player movement in other areas, with reports indicating Liverpool's interest in forward Bradley Barcola.
