A physical altercation broke out in the stands at Lumen Field in Seattle during a Week 1 matchup between the Seahawks and the New England Patriots. The incident, captured in fan footage, involved a Patriots fan and approximately a dozen Seahawks fans, along with stadium security.

The dispute reportedly began when the Patriots fan occupied seats for which he did not have tickets and refused to move, despite attempts by stadium ushers to resolve the situation. Home-team fans then began heckling the fan. The situation escalated when the Patriots fan appeared to fall into a stadium staff member after security arrived. A Seahawks fan then attempted to confront the Patriots fan, igniting a brawl.

Footage shows the Patriots fan throwing punches as a female companion, with her shoes in hand, urged others to stop "ganging up" on him. It required several individuals to subdue him before order was restored. The fan was subsequently taken from the stadium in handcuffs.

The Seahawks secured a 13-10 victory over the Patriots in the game. The Patriots lost a 10-point halftime lead, with the game concluding on an interception thrown by Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.
