Erling Haaland's post-World Cup celebrations have extended to the French Riviera, where the Manchester City forward was recently seen in Antibes. Joined by his brother and friends, Haaland stayed at the historic Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a location previously frequented by literary figures like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.
H নিষ্পting a relaxed summer, Haaland was observed in casual attire, including a white tank top and khaki shorts, as he left the hotel. While specific activities could not be confirmed, reports suggested a possible boating excursion.
His brother, Astor Haaland, and fashion influencer Samir Kamani were also reportedly present in Antibes.
This latest stop follows a series of European excursions for the Norwegian star. He recently attended the wedding of Manchester City teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma in Southern Italy, where he appeared alongside his partner, Isabel Haugseng Johansen. During the festivities, Haaland was filmed leading guests in recreating Norway's signature 'rowing' celebration from the World Cup.
Earlier in his vacation, Haaland celebrated his 26th birthday in Sardinia, posting a photo of himself wearing a Viking helmet. "26 years. Nice," he captioned the image on Instagram.
Meanwhile, the footballer's international impact extends beyond the pitch. In Peru, over 500 babies have been named after Haaland, according to the country's national registry. Figures show 468 newborns were given the name Haaland, and 91 were named Erling Haaland, with four receiving the full name Erling Braut Haaland.
Ivan Torres, a spokesperson for Peru's national registry, noted that various football stars inspire these naming choices, with the frequency of registrations increasing as Norway progressed in the World Cup. He humorously added, "Haaland is Peruvian too."
Despite the surge in names inspired by Haaland, he trails behind other World Cup icons in Peru. Brazil's Neymar reportedly inspired 33,812 baby names during the tournament.
Haaland's extended break is nearing its end. He was permitted to miss Manchester City's Asian tour but is expected to return for the team's Community Shield match against Arsenal on August 16 in Cardiff.
