Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Hunter Feduccia was forced to leave the team's 7-6 win against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night in the bottom of the seventh inning after experiencing illness.

Manager Dave Roberts stated after the game that Feduccia was dealing with a stomach bug or food poisoning. "He was scuffling all game," Roberts said. "So finally –– he went as long as he could go."

Feduccia, who was catching his second consecutive game and fourth in the last five days, appeared to become sick behind the plate and vomited in the dugout. He was replaced by Ben Rortvedt with one out in the seventh inning. A stadium worker was later seen cleaning the area behind the third-base bench where Feduccia had been.

Roberts confirmed that Feduccia would not be available for Wednesday's game and that the team was focused on rehydrating him.

Despite Feduccia's early exit, the Dodgers' offense had a strong showing. The team drew multiple early walks, including two by Feduccia. Shohei Ohtani hit his 30th home run of the season in the third inning, and Freddie Freeman, Tommy Edman, and Teoscar Hernández combined for three RBIs. Kyle Tucker also broke an 0-for-26 hitless streak with an RBI double.

Pitcher Eric Lauer provided a five-inning, four-run start, and the bullpen contributed four innings of two-run ball, with Tanner Scott securing a four-out save.

Feduccia has recently become the Dodgers' primary catcher, starting nine of the last 14 games. He was acquired by the team this year to add depth to the catching position.
