Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was arrested Wednesday night and faces four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery in connection with an alleged incident in Tampa, Florida, according to the Tampa Police Department. He turned himself in at Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County.

Investigators say the charges stem from an event on February 4, where six other individuals were arrested for their alleged participation in a "targeted armed robbery." According to authorities, three male victims, all in their late teens, were allegedly battered, held at gunpoint, and pistol-whipped before being robbed of personal items at a residence in Tampa. The victims later reported the incident to Tampa police and identified the suspects.

According to the police report, the incident began after more than $250,000 in stolen property was reported to the Largo Police Department on February 1. Authorities believe Arnold suspected two of the three victims were responsible for the theft of his and others' property from an Airbnb in Largo, Florida, where he periodically stayed.

Investigators allege that Arnold and another co-defendant, Lyndell Hudson II, coordinated with two women, Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo, to lure one of the victims to an apartment. Once the three victims arrived on February 4 to meet the women, police said Williams and Hudson were allegedly hiding in a bedroom closet. Investigators claim Williams and Hudson then grabbed the victims, held them at gunpoint, and assaulted them.

Authorities stated that Del Valle streamed the incident to Arnold, Hudson II, and Freddie Hughes as they traveled to the apartment. A group chat involving the defendants was recovered, in which Arnold and Hudson II allegedly provided directions to Del Valle, Williams, and Hudson during the assault, according to investigators.

Arnold, Hudson II, Hughes, and another individual allegedly arrived at the apartment around 1 a.m. Police allege Arnold directed the group inside, and that Hughes, Hudson II, and Williams stole the victims' personal property while the assault was ongoing. The victims were reportedly escorted from the apartment about 40 minutes later, forced into their vehicle, and left the scene.

Authorities stated that evidence gathered during the investigation suggests Arnold was the primary organizer of the alleged scheme.

Arnold, a product of Alabama, was selected by the Detroit Lions with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The 23-year-old played eight games in the past season before a shoulder injury required season-ending surgery. He recorded his first career interception in Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings. During his rookie season in 2024, Arnold played 16 games, defending 10 passes and making 60 combined tackles.
