Former race car driver Danica Patrick has responded to online critics who body-shamed her after she posted photos from a recent vacation to Ibiza. Patrick, 44, shared images from her trip to the Spanish island, including one in a yellow bikini that highlighted her toned physique.

In response to comments telling her to eat more, Patrick posted a series of Instagram stories detailing her meals, including breakfast and lunch. She also shared a photo of herself flexing her muscles while paddle-boarding, accompanied by a message addressing the criticism.

"If you don’t lift weights (like for real) and eat your damn protein (not 2 eggs), you don’t have to get muscles. Right bestie? @drgabriellelyon?!" Patrick wrote, referencing a physician and author. "And the more muscle you have, the more you get to eat!!!!! The end."

The vacation photos also featured Patrick with a new boyfriend, whose identity has not been publicly revealed. The couple, who have kept their relationship private, were seen kissing in one of the images. They first made their relationship public in December during a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona. This summer, in addition to Ibiza, they also visited Mykonos with friends.

Patrick's summer has included more personal time following her departure from her role as a Formula One analyst with Sky Sports shortly before the 2026 season began. She previously dated Carter Comstock, with whom she separated in March 2022, and NFL player Aaron Rodgers, a relationship that ended in 2020.
