The Daily Mail's sports podcast, "Whistleblowers," has been shortlisted for Best Sport Podcast at the prestigious British Podcast Awards.

The show is hosted by former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg, broadcaster Gordon Smart, and Daily Mail Football Editor Ian Ladyman. They offer weekly analysis of football, including VAR decisions and transfer news, from their perspectives within the referee's room and the press box.

During the recent World Cup, "Whistleblowers" released three episodes per week, covering the tournament's developments in real-time. The podcast features a range of guests, including Daily Mail football reporters, former professional athletes, and internet personalities. Previous guests have included former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon and tennis player Nick Kyrgios.

This nomination adds to the Daily Mail's recognition in the podcasting sphere. Its investigative podcast, "Pipeline: Left to Die," previously won Investigative Podcast of the Year at the News Podcast Awards.

The winners of the British Podcast Awards will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday, October 1, at indigo at The O2 in London. "Whistleblowers" is available on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, with new episodes released on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
