Como is preparing to submit an improved offer for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, with talks between the clubs expected on Saturday. The Italian side, managed by former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, has indicated a willingness to increase their bid closer to Chelsea's asking price of £35 million, including add-ons. Como's previous proposals amounted to £25 million.

Chalobah is reportedly keen on the move to the Serie A club for the upcoming season. Daily Mail Sport previously reported Fabregas's interest in acquiring the player. Como has faced rejections on their initial two offers for the 27-year-old and has been working on a structured deal to meet Chelsea's valuation.

Inter Milan has also expressed interest in Chalobah, seeking to sign two center backs. However, Como is optimistic about concluding a deal for the English defender.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is nearing a £55 million agreement for Crystal Palace center back Maxence Lacroix, who is currently undergoing his medical examination. Lacroix joined Palace for £18 million from Wolfsburg and has become a notable performer in the Premier League and European competitions.
