Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha is reportedly set to join Chilean club Colo Colo after his notable performances in the recent World Cup.

Vozinha, 40, arrived at the World Cup without a club, his contract with Portuguese second-division side Chaves having expired. He became a standout player during the tournament, particularly in a goalless draw against eventual champions Spain.

Anibal Mosa, the president of Colo Colo, confirmed the move, stating, "Vozinha will be a Colo Colo player." Mosa added that the goalkeeper is expected to travel to Chile in the coming days for medical examinations and to be officially presented. Mosa acknowledged that Vozinha's World Cup displays merited the transfer and also recognized the marketing potential for the Santiago-based club.

Colo Colo currently leads Chile's top division, Liga de Primera.
