Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner has announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Aysia Janelle, during a trip to Italy. Turner shared the news via Instagram, posting photos from the proposal which took place at Villa del Balbianello, a well-known villa overlooking Lake Como.
The scenic location has served as a backdrop for major films, including scenes from "Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones" and the James Bond movie "Casino Royale." Turner's posts included references to the "Star Wars" films, suggesting he recreated scenes from the Palace of Naboo.
Janelle, whose full name is Aysia Janelle McCloud, also shared her excitement on Instagram, showcasing her engagement ring and expressing her happiness. A congratulatory hotel room setup with champagne and "Engaged" signage in the French Riviera was also documented on Turner's Instagram Story.
The couple, who publicly revealed their relationship in 2023, are also founders of the Casper Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting cats and shelters. Janelle works as a marketing manager at Alphaeon Credit and is a freelance content creator.
Turner, a two-time NBA blocks leader, signed with the Milwaukee Bucks last July after a decade with the Indiana Pacers.
