Bryson DeChambeau has stoked speculation that he may be leaving LIV Golf following a cryptic social media post that coincided with the conclusion of the 2026 season.

The future of the controversial LIV Golf league has been a subject of intense discussion since Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund announced it would cease funding beyond the current year. This development has cast doubt on the future of several prominent golfers, including DeChambeau and Jon Rahm.

LIV CEO Scott O'Neil recently stated that the tour has secured new investment to continue operations, expressing his hope that DeChambeau would remain with the circuit. However, O'Neil could not confirm whether the American golfer, known for his popularity and polarizing presence, would re-sign with LIV after his current contract expires at the end of the 2026 season. Reports indicated this deal was valued at over $100 million.

DeChambeau's recent social media activity has done little to quell concerns that his last LIV event may have already occurred. He shared a series of images from past tournament victories, accompanied by the caption, "It was a good run."

The 2026 LIV Golf season concluded prematurely in Indianapolis with the cancellation of both the individual and team championships. Following the season's end, DeChambeau alluded to a potential transition for the tour, referring to "LIV 2.0."

"It has been an interesting ride, that's for sure, everything we've gone through, and the tough moments we've had. It's made us stronger," DeChambeau said in remarks. "As much as we are transitioning from LIV 1.0 to LIV 2.0, I have great thoughts about what could happen next year. I wish I could be more upfront about it."

He added, "Ultimately I'm proud of the fact of what we've done, the good and some of the bad that we've unfortunately had, things that have occurred, I'm going to be real with it, not everything was perfect. But for the most part we've done a solid job and if there's one thing I could say, we did something different in the game of golf and I'm proud of that."

DeChambeau concluded his statement by hinting, "I think there's something fun coming."

Earlier in the year, reports suggested DeChambeau had engaged in discussions about leaving LIV Golf during the Masters, with claims that he was seeking up to $500 million to remain with the breakaway series.

His current deal, reportedly worth more than $100million, ran until the end of the 2026 season

Other high-profile golfers who joined LIV, such as Brooks Koepka, have since returned to the PGA Tour. However, Rory McIlroy has suggested that a "tough road back" may await those seeking to rejoin the established tours.

"I'm pretty sure they aren't going to be welcomed back straight away," McIlroy commented. "They were offered this returning member program back in February, the one Brooks took, but that has come and gone and I think it was said at the time that the deal they get going forward if they decide to come back would not be as good at the one Brooks got. So I'd say it will be a tough road back."

LIV CEO Scott O'Neil has said he 'certainly hopes' DeChambeau will remain on the rebel tour
