New York Jets running back Breece Hall left practice Monday after sustaining an injury to his upper right leg and groin. The incident occurred when Hall caught a screen pass and fell to the ground.

Trainers attended to Hall in the medical tent before he departed the practice field. Hall, who signed a three-year, $43.5 million contract extension in the offseason, is a key player for the Jets offense and was a focal point of their attack last season, when he achieved his first 1,000-yard rushing season. He is 27 years old. Hall has been a vocal advocate for MetLife Stadium to switch from turf to grass, though the injury occurred on grass.
