Bournemouth has rejected an initial approach from Arsenal for midfielder Alex Scott, with the club asserting that the 22-year-old England international is not available for transfer this summer. Bournemouth intends to offer Scott a new contract.

Arsenal is actively pursuing multiple options to strengthen their midfield. The club has already had an offer for Newcastle United's Bruno Guimaraes rejected and plans to submit another. Sandro Tonali is also on Arsenal's shortlist, but Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly working to secure his signature.

Other midfielders discussed by Arsenal include West Ham's Mateus Fernandes and Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi. However, significant competition exists for both players. Manchester United and Tottenham are considered the primary suitors for Fernandes, while United, Spurs, and Chelsea have also shown interest in Scott. He is reportedly valued at close to £80 million.
