Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has turned down a new contract offer from the club, with growing interest from other Premier League sides fueling the decision. The Cherries had made securing Scott on fresh terms a summer priority, but as of now, no agreement has been reached.

The development comes amid reported interest from several top-tier clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, Manchester City, and Chelsea. BBC Sport previously reported in June that Arsenal had an offer for Scott rejected by Bournemouth.

Scott, 22, joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023 for a fee of £25 million. He has two years remaining on his current contract. He was called up to his first England squad in November and was part of a pre-World Cup training camp in Florida, though he has yet to make his senior international debut.

Scott began his career at Guernsey FC before moving to Bristol City in 2020. He made 91 appearances for the Championship club across all competitions and was named the division's young player of the season in 2022-23. His move to Bournemouth saw him make 89 appearances and score six goals, contributing to the team's sixth-place finish in the 2025-26 season under manager Andoni Iraola, which secured a Europa League spot for the first time in the club's history.
