FOX Sports analysts Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimović have downplayed any perceived tension between England head coach Thomas Tuchel and player Jude Bellingham following England's quarterfinal victory over Norway. Bellingham scored two goals in the match, contributing to England's advancement to the semifinals of the World Cup. However, Tuchel's post-match comments, which characterized England's performance as "sloppy" and lacking quality, drew a response from Bellingham, who suggested Tuchel might not understand the conditions of the game.

Ibrahimović proposed that Bellingham may not have received the full context of Tuchel's interview, leading to his reaction. "I think it’s misinformation, because if Jude would have seen the interview with Tuchel, he would have answered differently — 100%," Ibrahimović stated.

Henry concurred with Ibrahimović's assessment of a potential misunderstanding but stressed that the matter is not significant and there are no issues within the England camp. He urged a focus on the upcoming semifinal match against Argentina. "Nothing has changed for me," Henry said. "We need to talk about the game. That’s the most important thing. What animosity? There is no animosity in there. There is nothing in there. And I agree with Zlatan. He didn’t know how it was phrased to Tuchel. That’s about it. I’ll leave it there."

Fellow analyst Alexi Lalas expressed a different perspective, stating he appreciated the exchange. "I don’t think it’s a problem. I actually love it," Lalas commented. He believes it is important for coaches to challenge players and for players to defend themselves and their teammates. "I still think that they respect each other, even though they disagree with each other, maybe in this instance," Lalas added.

England is set to face Argentina on Wednesday, July 15, in Atlanta for a place in the World Cup final. Spain has already secured its spot in the final match.
