Alabama men's basketball head coach Nate Oats, 51, married Alex Accetta, 31, a former director of operations for the Crimson Tide, last weekend. The wedding ceremony was shared on social media by Alabama assistant coach Brian Adams.

Oats publicly announced his engagement to Accetta in April during an appearance on a Sirius XM radio show. Accetta, who previously worked as the team's director of operations, has since joined the NBA's Dallas Mavericks in guest experience and operations roles.

The marriage follows Oats' quiet divorce from his wife of 26 years, Crystal Oats, in 2023. The former couple married in 1997 and share three daughters: Lexie, Jocelyn, and Brielle. Crystal Oats was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma in 2015, later entering remission.

Oats began his tenure as Alabama's head coach in the 2019-20 season. Under his leadership, the team has made the NCAA Tournament every year except his first season, achieving a Final Four appearance in 2024. His 13 NCAA Tournament wins are the most in school history. Oats has also coached multiple players, including Brandon Miller, who was selected second overall in the 2023 NBA draft, into professional careers.
