Newly enshrined Pro Football Hall of Famer Adam Vinatieri deviated from traditional tributes during his induction ceremony on Saturday, opting instead to roast former teammates and coaches.

The all-time leading scorer in NFL history, Vinatieri was inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside Larry Fitzgerald, Roger Craig, Luke Kuechly, and Drew Brees. While his fellow inductees delivered heartfelt speeches, Vinatieri turned his moment into a comedic roast.

Vinatieri specifically targeted his former New England Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, making light of Belichick's relationship with Jordon Hudson, who is reportedly much younger than the coach. "Unfortunately, Bill couldn't make it here today," Vinatieri told the crowd. "There's a lot going on at UNC right now. He might be on a recruiting trip right now looking for the next Lawrence Taylor. I thought it was because training camp had already started. But in truth, it's because he's judging his girlfriend's cheerleading competition."

Despite the jest, Vinatieri acknowledged Belichick's coaching prowess. "Thank you for demanding excellence every single day," he said. "Your preparation, discipline and attention to detail shaped far more than my football career."

The jokes extended to former Indianapolis Colts teammate Pat McAfee, who served as Vinatieri's holder for field goals. Vinatieri made an explicit remark, saying, "He's the only person who enjoyed holding my balls more than my wife."

Another target of Vinatieri's humor was quarterback Peyton Manning. Vinatieri thanked Manning "for generously donating your forehead" to be used as a teleprompter, adding that the quarterback's "gigantic forehead means a big brain, and your football IQ is unmatched, buddy."

Vinatieri also praised Manning's leadership, stating, "The way you managed the offense, the team, everything in the entire organization, was incredible. Your leadership led this team to greatness."
