The critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso" is set to return for its fourth season on August 5, 2026. The new season will feature Jason Sudeikis as the titular character, who takes on the challenge of coaching a women's professional soccer team.

New episodes are expected to be available starting at 9:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 4, the night before the official premiere date, a common release strategy for the streamer.

"Ted Lasso" is an exclusive to Apple TV+, requiring a subscription to watch. New subscribers can take advantage of a seven-day free trial before the service charges $12.99 per month. Alternatively, Amazon Prime members can subscribe to Apple TV+ through Prime Video for the same monthly price, including the trial period, allowing access to Apple TV+ content within the Prime Video app.

Season 4 is planned to consist of 10 episodes, with new installments released weekly through October 6.

Cast and New Directions

Jason Sudeikis returns as Ted Lasso, expressing his continued enthusiasm for the character. "It’s infectious to play a character who sees the best in people and isn’t mad at the world for all its foibles and bullies and shadows," Sudeikis told The Hollywood Reporter.

Other returning cast members include Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, and Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins. The season will also introduce several new actors, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.

The narrative shift sees Ted Lasso back in the United Kingdom, stepping into a new role managing the women's AFC Richmond Greyhounds team, following the conclusion of the men's team's story arc in Season 3.
