Tayla Meath, a presenter on Channel Ten and a beloved star of the reality series "The Dog House Australia," has died at the age of 30. Meath passed away on September 1 after a prolonged and difficult battle with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC), an aggressive cancer that originates in glandular tissue.

Meath was diagnosed with ACC in 2024, at the age of 27. Her health reportedly deteriorated significantly in June, as the cancer spread to her liver and continued to grow. A GoFundMe campaign established to support her medical expenses provided updates on her condition and shared the news of her passing. The final post on the fundraising page stated that Meath died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

"Tayla's journey was long and painful, but she never gave up," the GoFundMe message read. "She fought every single day. She lived, she loved, she laughed, and she kept pushing forward even when things were incredibly hard." The message emphasized the positive impact Meath had on those around her and expressed that she would be remembered through the friendships she made and the lives she brightened.

"The Dog House Australia" shared a tribute on social media, calling Meath "deeply saddened" by her passing and noting her "extraordinary love, kindness and care" for the animals featured on the show. The program is known for matching adoptable dogs with potential owners at the Animal Welfare League's Kemps Creek Shelter.

According to Cancer Council Australia, ACC typically affects the head and neck, often developing slowly and presenting as a single tumor. Meath had reportedly experienced throat issues for years due to the cancer, which led to the removal of part of her vocal cord and voice box.

Funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign, which exceeded $36,000, assisted Meath and her family with medical and end-of-life expenses. In March 2025, some of these funds facilitated a honeymoon trip to the Maldives for Meath and her partner of 10 years, Curtis.

Meath is survived by her husband, Curtis, and their three-year-old Labrador, Archie.
