Tamzin Outhwaite, 55, has revealed her daily diet and fitness regimen, crediting it with her physique. The EastEnders actress, who is currently starring in "Abigail's Party" at the Harold Pinter Theatre, detailed her self-care practices.
Outhwaite typically wakes at 6 a.m. and opts for coffee instead of breakfast, describing it as natural intermittent fasting due to a lack of morning appetite. By 9 a.m., she engages in either zero-gravity Pilates or a High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class. Following her workout, she spends 20 to 40 minutes meditating in her home sauna.
Her routine continues with walking her dogs before a mid-morning snack of cruffins, a combination of croissants and muffins. Lunch is typically around 1 p.m. Outhwaite enjoys pork belly at her preferred pub, The Good Reader in Crouch End, or prepares a meal at home.
For dinner, she prepares a salad with meat, stating that she avoids bread and pasta to prevent feeling sluggish. For a post-dinner beverage, she chooses tequila and soda, which she considers a cleaner alcohol choice and not a depressant.
In addition to her diet and exercise, Outhwaite recently underwent a non-surgical facelift treatment costing £4,950 to maintain her skin's appearance. She had eight NeoGen nitrogen plasma facials over the course of a year at the Ambra Clinic with Dr. Maryam McMillan. Outhwaite was inspired to try the treatment after seeing positive results on Shirley Ballas, a judge on "Strictly Come Dancing."
Outhwaite expressed that she noticed her face looking less youthful and a slight sagging after losing weight, prompting her research into alternatives to surgery. She emphasized the importance of maintaining an expressive face for her acting career and expressed wariness of injectables and surgical procedures.
"I definitely didn't want to go under the knife. I didn't want any form of face-lift, and I'm extremely wary of having injectables because I'm an actor and I need to have an expressive face," Outhwaite stated. She sought non-surgical options to improve her appearance.
The NeoGen treatment utilizes super-heated nitrogen gas to stimulate skin rejuvenation by promoting collagen and elastin production. Dr. McMillan noted that the procedure's minimal downtime made it suitable for Outhwaite's demanding schedule, allowing her to resume public-facing commitments shortly after treatment. Each session, preceded by a numbing cream, takes approximately 30 minutes and covers the face, neck, and upper chest.
Outhwaite reported significant improvements in skin texture and radiance after the first three treatments, particularly in areas like her jawline and around her eyes.
