Susanna Reid, 55, has humorously suggested that a revealing swimsuit photograph shared from her O Beach Ibiza trip was a deliberate tactic to solicit votes for "Good Morning Britain" at the recent National Television Awards (NTAs).

The presenter posted a striking image of herself in a black, plunging one-piece swimsuit, posing with scantily clad dancers who held up placards encouraging viewers to "Vote GMB." Speaking on the NTA red carpet, Reid described the photo as a "clever ploy" to encourage her followers to vote for "Good Morning Britain" in the Best Daytime Show category.

"I got the big guns out. There's something about being 55 and you just think, you know what? Just put your swimsuit on and go to a day club and get them to vote for GMB," Reid told Woman And Home. She added that being shortlisted for the award felt like a win in itself.

Despite the social media campaign, "Good Morning Britain" ultimately lost out in its category to ITV rival "This Morning." Reid later acknowledged the outcome on Instagram, congratulating the "This Morning" team and expressing gratitude to "GMB" viewers for their support.

Reid's Ibiza trip, which involved celebratory tequila cocktails with her sons, was documented on social media. She shared that she generally avoids alcohol, making an exception for one day during her holiday. She also noted her preference for early mornings, even while on vacation, often enjoying sunrise walks and exercise before the day's activities began.

"I loved it because I'm 55 years old, and if you're not going to go out and enjoy yourself in a swimsuit, what are you doing in Ibiza at 55? It was great fun," Reid told The Mirror about her holiday. She clarified that she limits herself to one drink and leaves the beach club by 8 p.m., while her sons continue their evening activities.

Reid, who wakes at 4 a.m. to host "Good Morning Britain," has previously spoken about enjoying her Ibiza trips with her sons now that they are old enough to participate in the nightlife.
