The 83rd Venice International Film Festival opened Wednesday with the world premiere of Danny Boyle's "Ink," drawing stars like Jack O'Connell, Guy Pearce, and Claire Foy to the red carpet.

The drama, which kicked off the festival in Venice, Italy, is based on James Graham's Tony Award-winning play that chronicles the rise of Rupert Murdoch's tabloid empire.

The premiere saw a variety of attendees walk the red carpet, including Nina Dobrev, Chase Sui, Jonathan Bailey, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Stella Maxwell. Members of the Orizzonti jury, such as Peter Becker, Elizabeth Lo, Valérie Donzelli, David Pablos, and Barbara Ronchi, were also present.
