Six-Year-Old Chinese Girl Shatters Rubik's Cube World Records
Lian Yunzhi becomes the first female cuber to average under 4.5 seconds, achieving the feat twice in three days.
A six-year-old girl from China has achieved a remarkable feat in the world of competitive Rubik's Cube solving, breaking the women's world record for the 3x3x3 cube twice within a three-day span. Lian Yunzhi, from Sichuan Province, now holds the distinction of being the only female competitor globally to achieve an average solving time under 4.5 seconds.
Competing at World Cube Association events in Wuhan and Guangzhou, China, Yunzhi first set a new record with an average time of 4.52 seconds. She then surpassed her own record just days later, posting an average of 4.27 seconds. This rapid progression demonstrates her exceptional skill and dedication to the challenging puzzle.
Her success is attributed to intensive training, during which she has learned over 1,300 Rubik's Cube solving algorithms. Over the past year, Yunzhi has dedicated two to three hours each day to practicing and mastering the cube.
