Simone Biles has addressed social media commentary questioning her invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding. The decorated gymnast, who attended the event with her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, responded to a user who doubted the validity of her friendship with Swift.

"remember this, I only show y'all what I want y'all to know,” Biles wrote in response to a comment asking when she and Swift had ever spoken. Biles attended the Madison Square Garden wedding on Friday evening, sharing photos of her attendance on Monday.

Biles's caption for her wedding photos referenced Swift's song "Love Story," noting "the perfect love story, followed by the perfect nighTT ❣️." The caption also alluded to the couple's monogram insignia of interlocking T's, which was visible on decor and invitations.

Although Biles and Swift have maintained a private friendship, they have publicly supported each other. Biles utilized Swift's song "Ready for It" for a portion of her floor routine during the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials. Swift reacted to a video of the routine, posting on X, “Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho👏👏👏🥇🇺🇸❤.”

In 2021, Swift also voiced support for Biles when the gymnast returned to competition at the Tokyo Olympics after experiencing the "twisties." Swift narrated a video about Biles for NBC's Olympic coverage during that time. Biles responded to the video on X, stating, “I’m crying 🥺🤍 how special. I love you @taylorswift13.”

For the wedding, Biles wore a Đỗ Long gown made of burgundy leather, tulle, and jewels, featuring a high neck, halter shoulders, and a waistline cutout. Her husband, Jonathan Owens, wore a matching burgundy velvet tuxedo. Owens shared photos of their attire on Sunday, captioning the post, "What a night ❤️ So grateful to be able to witness such a beautiful ceremony with so many amazing people. We love to celebrate love, a night we’ll truly never forget 🤞🏽 Congratulations to the couple!!! #T&T."

The wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden reportedly hosted over 1,000 guests. Other notable attendees included Selena Gomez, Miranda Lambert, Ed Sheeran, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, and Bradley Cooper.
