A clip from the British comedy panel show '8 Out of 10 Cats' has resurfaced, featuring the late comedian Sean Lock delivering a scathing critique of Russell Brand. The segment, which predates Brand's recent conviction for rape and sexual assault, shows Lock questioning Brand's public statements and expressing personal reservations about his character.

In the clip, Lock criticizes Brand's political commentary, calling it "self-serving" and "pathetic." He specifically addresses Brand's stance on voting, noting a perceived hypocrisy. "Him saying stuff to people who are disaffected already and are not engaged with the political process and don't vote is the most moronic, self-serving, pathetic bit of attention seeking wank that has ever been spewed out of a moron's f***ing mouth in history," Lock is heard saying.

Lock further elaborates on his strong negative feelings towards Brand, stating, "Probably the reason I hate him so much is that I am a dad, and I have this fear that one day my daughters will bring something like that home." He contrasts this with a hypothetical scenario of Brand visiting his home.

Fellow comedians on the show, including Mel C and David O'Doherty, offer different perspectives, with Mel C defending Brand's political engagement and O'Doherty suggesting leniency. However, Lock remains firm in his assessment.

The resurfaced comments come in the wake of Russell Brand's conviction on November 5 for raping one woman and sexually assaulting three others. Brand, 51, was found guilty by a court in London after a trial that lasted several weeks. The charges stem from incidents that occurred between 2000 and 2004. He faces potential years in prison.

Following the conviction, further allegations have emerged, and the Crown Prosecution Service is reportedly considering new charges. Metropolitan Police chief Sir Mark Rowley has indicated that more alleged victims may come forward. The police are currently investigating two additional cases involving Brand.

Comedian Katherine Ryan has spoken about her mixed emotions of "grief and relief" following Brand's conviction. She recounted a past encounter where she told a male comedian she believed to be Brand that he was a "predator" to his face. Ryan has also criticized the behavior of Brand's barrister outside the courtroom, describing it as "unprofessional" and "aggressive."
