Former 'Hollyoaks' actress Sarah Jayne Dunn, 44, has shared details of her dedicated fitness routine, emphasizing consistency and strength training as key components of her health regimen. Dunn stated her commitment to her health and fitness, highlighting that she does not take it for granted.
Her regimen includes rigorous weight training, which she believes is crucial for women, particularly as they age. This complements her passion for pole fitness, a discipline she has integrated into her personality and pursues competitively against herself. "It makes me feel good. It makes me feel confident. It makes me feel connected to my body and makes me feel really, really proud of my body and what it can do," Dunn said.
Dunn also expressed a desire to be a role model for other women, challenging societal pressures that often promote smaller body ideals. "I think society has told women that we need to be smaller and I think there's a real influx of this at the moment that you see all over social media and press and I think that's another way of controlling women," she noted. She advocates for celebrating strength and healthy eating, comparing neglecting one's body's nutritional needs to failing to put fuel in a car.
In addition to pole and weight training, Dunn is also training to become a Reformer Pilates teacher. She has regularly shared aspects of her fitness journey on social media, including her pole fitness skills. Dunn also noted the athleticism of pole dancers, describing them as "athletes."
Beyond her fitness endeavors, Dunn has also reunited with former 'Hollyoaks' co-star James Sutton for the competition series 'Race of Wits' on OnlyFans' free-to-view platform, OFTV. The series features creators undertaking London-based challenges. Their episode is scheduled for release on Tuesday, September 1.
