Actress Rosario Dawson revealed that her scene was cut from the latest "Spider-Man" movie, prompting a witty reaction from her mother. Dawson, known for her role as nurse Claire Temple in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared the news during an appearance at GalaxyCon in Raleigh, North Carolina.

"I even shot a scene in the new ‘Spider-Man’ movie, but I got cut out," Dawson told the audience. She recounted her mother's response: "‘That sucks ― now I can’t post the pictures.’" Dawson playfully noted the irony, telling her mother, "me being cut out of the movie that has the largest viewership of a trailer ever ― the issue is you can’t post the BTS photos."

Dawson expressed a personal connection to the Spider-Man franchise, noting a recent comic frame depicting a young Spider-Man speaking with Daredevil. The setting for this conversation was P.S. 19 in the Lower East Side, which is the same elementary school Dawson attended. This detail had inspired her to prepare a social media post featuring her grandson in Spider-Man attire.

"Then I got the email that was like, ‘Yeah ― nah,’" Dawson said, referring to the news of her scene being removed. "So I’m a reject of ‘Spider-Man.’"

Dawson, 47, also shared that she is a grandmother. She revealed in 2023 that she was embracing the role of "Glamma" after her daughter, Isabella, who Dawson adopted in 2014 at age 11, was expecting her first child.
