Rosanne Cash, the eldest daughter of country music legend Johnny Cash, has postponed three upcoming concert dates due to an "unexpected medical emergency." The singer's team announced the news on Monday, stating that she is recovering under medical supervision.
"She is recovering under her doctors’ supervision, who have recommended a temporary restriction on travel and performing," the statement read. This restriction has impacted her scheduled performances in Wyoming and Montana. The affected shows include dates in Sheridan, Wyoming, and Billings and Bozeman, Montana. Cash expressed her regret for the cancellations and her anticipation for rescheduling.
The 71-year-old musician, a four-time Grammy winner, began her career by touring with her father in the 1970s before embarking on her own recording career. Her breakthrough album, "Seven Year Ache," was released in 1981, and subsequent releases throughout the 1980s and 1990s established her as a prominent figure in country music. She has been touring with musician John Leventhal since August, with the tour slated to conclude in January.
Rosanne Cash is one of four daughters Johnny Cash shared with his first wife, Vivian Liberto. Johnny Cash also had a son, John, with his second wife, June Carter Cash. Johnny Cash died in 2003.
