Robin Williams' Daughter Slams AI Videos Using His Likeness

Zelda Williams has publicly denounced the creation of artificial intelligence-generated videos featuring her late father, Robin Williams. On Monday, she expressed her frustration on X, formerly Twitter, criticizing what she described as the "delusional bullshit" of individuals using AI to manipulate her father's image and legacy.

Williams stated that she had been shown an AI-generated video purportedly of her father discussing conspiracy theories. She described the output as "not even particularly convincing," adding that "a human made a robot create it." She urged those responsible to "leave him out of your delusional bullshit and let him rest."

This is not the first time Williams has addressed the issue. Last year, she publicly appealed for an end to such online content. She reiterated her stance, writing, "Just because he's gone does not mean he's now your puppet. Have some shame."

Robin Williams, a celebrated actor and comedian, died by suicide in 2014 at the age of 63. He was posthumously diagnosed with Lewy body dementia, a neurodegenerative disease that can cause a range of psychological and physical symptoms.

Williams achieved widespread fame through his roles in the television series "Mork & Mindy" before transitioning to a successful film career. His notable movies include "Dead Poets Society," "Mrs. Doubtfire," and "Good Will Hunting," for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
