The Real Housewives of London is set to premiere its second season this week, featuring a cast of six businesswomen who promise a blend of glamour, conflict, and heartfelt moments. The series, which airs on Hayu, will follow the women through various high-profile events, including charity galas, Fashion Week, and a trip to Antigua, while also delving into personal themes such as motherhood, challenging family relationships, and friendship.

Returning cast members include Amanda Cronin, a former model who now runs a beauty business and wellness clinic; Panthea Parker, a fixture on the Mayfair social scene; and Nessie Welschinger, who transitioned from finance to run the Chelsea Cake Company. The lineup also features influencer Juliet Angus, events business owner Juliet Mayhew, and fashion label developer Karen Loderick-Peace.

The 'Back to Paddington' Fallout

Amanda Cronin, 57, is addressing the infamous dispute from the first season with Juliet Angus, 50, over a postcode. The argument, which culminated in Cronin's instruction for Angus to "Go back to Paddington," became a widely discussed moment on the show. Cronin described the disagreement as petty and admitted to feeling ashamed afterward, realizing the triviality of the argument in retrospect.

"I was trying to shut it down and, at a certain point I verbally Ubered Juliet back to Paddington," Cronin recalled. "I was trying to point out that she doesn’t live in Notting Hill – she lives in Paddington."

The line proved to be so memorable that Cronin released a dance track titled "Back To Paddington" in May, which unexpectedly led to her becoming an icon within the LGBTQ+ community, particularly after being celebrated at London's Mighty Hoopla festival.

This season, Cronin aims to renew her friendship with Angus, stating, "I’ve realised we really did have a very deep and sisterly relationship. We were very close but I think that became contaminated. I’ve discovered that I’m not a people-pleaser any more."

Personal Journeys and Revelations

Beyond the social events and interpersonal dynamics, the new season will explore more personal and emotional storylines. Panthea Parker, 51, known for her extensive cosmetic procedures, discusses her experiences with a critical mother and a father who left her life when she was 12. "My father left when I was 12 and for a long time I felt I needed a father during those teenage and early adult years," Parker shared. "Eventually I accepted he wasn’t there and moved on with my life."

Parker's perspective was influenced by Juliet Angus, who has her own emotional arc this season as she travels to Poland to visit her father's resting place. "Hearing her talk about her relationship with her father planted a seed," Parker said, reflecting on her own father's passive online presence. "The girls, especially Juliet, encouraged me to reach out."

Escapism and Intimate Moments

The cast's trip to Antigua, hosted by Karen Loderick-Peace, is also highlighted as a source of both conflict and bonding. Cronin described the nine-day excursion as a mixture of "absolute highs, lows, trauma, luxury and unhingedness." Despite the dramatic elements, the women shared intimate moments, dining and watching television together on their yacht, which Cronin likened to a "big pyjama party on a superyacht."

The series aims to showcase that beneath the lavish lifestyles and opulent settings, the cast members navigate universal themes of family, aging, loneliness, friendship, and loss, presenting a relatable aspect to the show's glamorous facade.Welcome back to the gloriously glossy, frequently fractious world of The Real Housewives Of London (L-R) Amanda Cronin, Nessie Welschinger, Panthea Parker and Karen Loderick-Peace
