Nikki Glaser, the recent host of the Golden Globes, has moved her representation from UTA to rival agency WME in a move that has reportedly surprised many in Hollywood.

Glaser, who has been with UTA since 2018, reportedly departed the agency without warning. "Nikki fired UTA without warning," a source told the New York Post. "Crazy considering what UTA built for her the last five years," added another insider, emphasizing the perceived shock of the decision given Glaser's career trajectory while with UTA.

During her five years at UTA, Glaser has experienced significant career growth, becoming a prominent figure in live comedy and television. She has hosted the Golden Globes twice and recently emceed the 2024 "Roast of Tom Brady." Her latest comedy special has garnered three Emmy nominations for 2026, and she also received an Emmy nomination for her Golden Globes hosting duties.

Her professional accomplishments under UTA's representation include booking various TV and film projects, such as Netflix's "The Fifth Wheel" with Kim Kardashian and the animated feature "Steps." She also sold a film pitch based on the game "MASH" to Paramount and is collaborating on a romantic comedy at Universal with Judd Apatow. Glaser's "Alive & Unwell Tour" has been a commercial success, grossing $19.5 million over 120 shows and is set to air on Hulu.

Glaser's move to WME comes as she is preparing to host the Golden Globes for a third consecutive year in 2027. WME will represent her in all areas, including motion pictures, scripted and unscripted television, digital content, touring, and more. WME's roster includes numerous prominent comedians and entertainers such as Kevin Hart, Wanda Sykes, and Amy Schumer.

Glaser continues to be represented by Alex Murray at Brillstein and attorney Lev Ginsberg. UTA also represents several other notable comedians, including Nate Bargatze, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Matt Rife.
