Nicole Kidman Discusses Shocking 'Lioness' Season 3 Finale and Potential for Season 4

Nicole Kidman has shared her reactions to the dramatic conclusion of the third season of Taylor Sheridan's series "Lioness," including the unexpected reveal of the season's antagonist and her character's perspective on a shocking in-show event. The season finale, titled "The Unraveling," exposed Aaliyah Amrohi as the mastermind behind the kidnapping plot, a stark turn from her initial portrayal.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Kidman, who plays Kaitlyn, addressed the pivotal death of Oleksandra, an innocent character. "She absolutely has a moral code and conscience, but she always weighs it up against cost," Kidman stated when asked if her character feels remorse. "At the same time, she’s not mired down in regret. She’s a move-forward person, in the same way that when people play sports, you don’t get stuck on a previous point. Because otherwise she can’t do her job; she’s rendered inactive and vulnerable then."

Kidman also reflected on the potential future of the series. "There’s a lot. We’ll see where it goes, if we get to make a fourth season," she told the outlet. "It’s just so rich that there’s so many different paths that you can go down. The first season, you’re establishing everything, and the beauty of getting to do multiple seasons is that it becomes more deeper, richer, more complex. Taylor is such a strong writer that he can take things anywhere."

While a fourth season has not been officially confirmed, indications suggest that more episodes may be forthcoming. The series, which focuses on a CIA/military operation, has garnered attention for its gritty storylines and character developments throughout its run.
