Mis-Teeq's Su-Elise Nash 'Blindsided' by Bandmate's Solo Tour Announcement

Su-Elise Nash, a member of the British R&B group Mis-Teeq, has revealed she was unaware of bandmate Sabrina Washington's solo tour plans, which were announced shortly after the trio's successful 25th-anniversary reunion concert. Nash stated she was "blindsided" by the news, which came just days after their sold-out performance at OVO Arena Wembley.

Washington announced her solo headline tour, titled 'A One Night Stand Just Ain't Enough,' on Monday. However, Nash claims she was not informed of these plans. On the same day Washington's announcement was made public, Mis-Teeq had a deadline to confirm offers for future performances in 2027, including potential headlining slots at major UK festivals.

Nash took to Instagram to express her surprise, sharing a screenshot of an article reporting that Mis-Teeq had split due to Washington's solo ventures. She wrote, "As far as I was aware, today was our deadline to make a decision on some incredible Mis-Teeq offers for 2027… including headlining a major UK festival, performing at another huge UK festival and potentially taking the show regional for everyone who couldn’t make Wembley."

She added, "After the incredible response to our sold-out Wembley Arena show, I genuinely believed these were opportunities we were all excited about and hopefully saying YES to today as Mis-Teeq! So to find out that a press release went out to media today saying ‘Mis-Teeq have split’ has taken me by surprise. That’s news to me…"

Nash also 'liked' comments from fans who criticized Washington's decision, with some calling it a "complete lack of integrity" and "disrespect." She also engaged with a post from former Mis-Teeq member Zena McNally, who joined the group on stage at Wembley, sparking speculation among fans about a potential collaboration between Nash and McNally.

It appears that the third member of Mis-Teeq, Alesha Dixon, was also unaware of Washington's solo tour announcement, as she was reportedly still sharing content from the Wembley reunion show around the same time. The representatives for Mis-Teeq have been contacted for comment.

Washington's solo tour will feature performances of Mis-Teeq hits such as "Scandalous," "All I Want," "One Night Stand," and "Why," as well as her solo material, including "OMG" and "Don't Call Me."

Washington stated that the response to the Mis-Teeq reunion was "overwhelming" and that messages from fans requesting more dates in different cities and countries led to the idea for her solo tour. She described the Wembley concert as a "special way for the three of us to celebrate everything we achieved together" and explained that her tour would allow her to "celebrate that music in my own way and get much closer to the public."
