Matty Healy, frontman for the band The 1975, and model Gabbriette Bechtel have married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles.

The couple, who became engaged in 2024 after nine months of dating, were married on Saturday. Representatives for the couple confirmed the ceremony was attended by family and close friends. US media outlets reported that the wedding took place at Madonna's former estate in the Hollywood Hills, with celebrities including Charli XCX in attendance.

Bechtel, 28, and Healy, 37, were first linked in 2023, following Healy's brief relationship with Taylor Swift. Some reports suggest their relationship inspired tracks on Swift's album "The Tortured Poets Department." Bechtel publicly displayed her engagement ring, a large black diamond, on Instagram in June 2024, accompanied by the caption "Marrying The 1975 is very brat."

Healy's mother, Denise Welch, confirmed the engagement on a podcast. Videos circulating online showed Healy performing with a tribute band to The 1975 at what was reportedly his stag do. Bechtel also shared photos from her hen party in Las Vegas, which included themed elements like being handcuffed and carried onto a plane by someone dressed as a police officer, and posing with an Elvis impersonator.

Bechtel, an American model and musician, is known as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the punk rock band Nasty Cherry, formed by Charli XCX. Healy's husband, George Daniel, is the drummer for The 1975.

The 1975 has achieved significant success with songs like "Chocolate," "Somebody Else," and "Girls," and has released five UK number one albums. Their most recent album, "Being Funny In A Foreign Language," was released in 2022. The band headlined Glastonbury last year and has since announced an indefinite hiatus from live performances.
