Linda Cardellini is set to portray Pamela Voorhees, the original killer from the Friday the 13th franchise, in the upcoming Peacock prequel series titled "Crystal Lake." The show is slated to premiere on October 15.
The series takes place a year after the drowning of Pamela’s son, Jason Voorhees, at the fictional Camp Crystal Lake. As the trailer reveals, Cardellini’s character, initially a lunch lady, channels her grief and anger into seeking vengeance against those she holds responsible. The narrative also hints that Jason’s story may extend beyond his watery demise.
"Crystal Lake" will consist of eight episodes. In addition to Cardellini, the cast includes William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom. Callum Vinson, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch, and Phoenix Parnevik are also part of the recurring cast.
