Towns, a fellow NBA player, watched the episode and shared his amusement. "I thought Rick stole the show," Towns remarked after a practice. "That was a helluva walk. That was an Emmy walk right there."
Brunson's appearance on "SVU" follows a successful NBA season where he led the Knicks to their first championship in 53 years. He also recently hosted an episode of "Saturday Night Live." Towns himself has prior acting experience, having appeared in "The Devil Wears Prada 2."
