Jules Neale has shared her thoughts on her ex-husband Lachie's decision to continue his AFL career in Melbourne, stating she would have preferred him to relocate closer to their children in Western Australia.

Lachie Neale recently confirmed a three-year deal with Collingwood, starting in 2027, after eight seasons with the Brisbane Lions. His move to Melbourne means he will be playing in Victoria while Jules and their children, Piper and Freddie, remain in Perth.

Speaking to the Herald Sun at Melbourne Cup Day, Jules Neale commented on her ex-husband's choice: "I would have preferred him to be closer to the kids, but he's going to make his own decisions." The former couple attended the racing carnival on separate days, avoiding a direct encounter.

Neale also indicated a desire to move on from her past relationship, revealing plans to cover up a tattoo of an initial on her hand, which she identified as 'L'. This comes after the highly publicized end of her marriage to Lachie last year, following allegations involving her former close friend.

In August, Jules Neale stated on the Pretty Sure podcast that she learned about her ex-husband's new relationship through media reports. She described the alleged affair as a four-month relationship that occurred without her knowledge.

Since their split, both Lachie and Jules have appeared in public. Lachie has been seen with his new partner, Emma Field, who has increasingly appeared alongside him at events, including the AFL Grand Final and the Club Champion dinner.
