Margot Robbie has arrived in Sydney for the exclusive Chanel Cruise/Resort runway collection presentation, marking a significant fashion event in Australia. The actress, a longtime ambassador for the brand, was seen at Sydney Airport on Wednesday, disembarking with her entourage.
Robbie's arrival outfit evoked Audrey Hepburn, featuring black capri trousers, a crew-neck top, Chanel sunglasses, and a blue paisley-print headscarf. She completed the retro-inspired look with black ballet flats, hoop earrings, and a black leather Chanel bag, accessorized with burgundy lipstick and matching nail polish.
Chanel's decision to stage its Cruise/Resort 2026–27 collection in Australia is a notable event, as the luxury fashion house rarely brings its international runway shows to the country. Sydney joins other global cities like Miami, Singapore, Dubai, and Seoul in hosting these prestigious traveling presentations.
The brand is scheduled to host a private VIP event at Shelly Beach in Manly on Wednesday evening, followed by the main runway show on Thursday at an undisclosed location. Chanel executives are also set to meet with media at a private residence in Vaucluse. The show will be presented twice on Thursday, with scheduled times of 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
While the runway collection itself is the same as that first revealed in Biarritz in April, Chanel has indicated that there will be local touches incorporated for the Australian event. Other notable celebrities expected to attend include Nicole Kidman and her daughter Faith, Jacob Elordi, and Kylie Minogue.
Robbie's association with Chanel began in March 2018 when she was appointed a brand ambassador. Her collaborations have included campaigns for the Coco Neige collection, Gabrielle fragrance, J12 watch, and Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick. In September 2024, she became the new face of the iconic Chanel N°5 perfume and starred in a short film titled 'See You at 5' alongside Jacob Elordi, directed by Luca Guadagnino. She also fronted the 2026 Chanel 25 handbag campaign, which recreated Kylie Minogue's music video for 'Come Into My World.'
