Jax Taylor has requested that his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, pay him $17,000 per month in spousal support, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. The filing comes amid the couple's ongoing and contentious divorce proceedings.
Taylor, 47, alleges that Cartwright's actions have "sabotag[ed] his employability." His attorney stated that his client "would be able to return to gainful employment, at the top of his game, were it not for Brittany’s actions," adding that the "effects of Brittany’s campaign against Jax have been emotionally and financially devastating."
Court documents indicate Taylor's average monthly income is $30,334, with estimated monthly expenses of $28,944. The filing noted Cartwright's company reportedly earned over $630,000 in gross income between January and May.
Taylor's legal team further alleged that the financial disparity between the two is "directly due to Brittany’s documented campaign, commencing in or about early 2026, to wreak havoc on Jax’s public image and sabotage his ability to continue his career in the entertainment industry and earn an income."
Cartwright, 37, separated from Taylor in early 2024 after five years of marriage and filed for divorce that August. The couple finalized a custody agreement for their 5-year-old son, Cruz, in March. Under the terms, Taylor has custody on Wednesday nights and every other weekend, while Cartwright has their son the remainder of the time. They share joint legal custody, with Cartwright holding tie-breaking authority on medical decisions.
In August, Cartwright was granted a temporary protective order against Taylor. Her filing detailed allegations of "coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence," including a claim that Taylor once threatened her life.
Taylor subsequently filed his own restraining order, alleging Cartwright was responsible for him being removed from the show "Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test," which he claimed left him without employment prospects.
