Actress Jane Seymour remains steadfast in her decision to live in Malibu, California, even after enduring multiple emergency evacuations due to severe wildfires. Seymour, who has owned her oceanfront estate for over three decades, purchased the property in 1994 for $3.4 million.

Despite the persistent threat of wildfires, exacerbated by Malibu's geography and Santa Ana winds, Seymour expressed her commitment to the coastal community. "No," Seymour told Page Six when asked if she had ever considered leaving. "It’s the most beautiful place and the community here is wonderful."

Seymour recounted her most recent evacuation in December 2024, where she left her home with minimal possessions. She noted that her home has narrowly escaped destruction on several occasions and that she has personally experienced at least half a dozen fires. "I hope and pray that my house will be here for a very long time," she said, expressing gratitude to the fire department.

To mitigate risks, Seymour has implemented preventive measures, including removing flammable vegetation from her garden and installing fire hydrants. She also collaborates with the fire department on best practices for home safety in a fire-prone area. "I did everything I possibly could do, but it’s also the luck of the draw," she admitted.

Seymour, who is engaged to musician John Zambetti, emphasized her love for the area and its community, stating, "I honestly travel the world, and there is something magical about where we live and the community we’re in. And I’ve been here a very long time, and I will always support this community."

Beyond her home, Seymour has been active with her lab-grown diamond jewelry collection, which launched on November 6. She views the collection as more than just accessories, but as pieces that carry significant meaning and tell stories, inspired by her mother's wartime experiences and the importance of helping others.
