New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson is set to make a guest appearance on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." The episode, titled "Forsaken," will air on November 5 at 9 p.m. ET.

Brunson will portray a character named Detective Madison. A teaser trailer released last week showed Mariska Hargitay's Detective Olivia Benson interacting with Brunson's character.

The official synopsis for the episode states that Benson and her team will uncover a secret that alters the investigation, while District Attorney Sonny Carisi faces complications as key witnesses refuse to cooperate.

This marks Brunson's acting debut. His appearance was first hinted at in August by Hargitay on "TODAY," where she mentioned "things in the works." Hargitay, a known Knicks fan and a regular at their games, is a close friend of Brunson.

Fans can watch "Law & Order: SVU" on NBC. For those without cable, the episode can be streamed live for free through DIRECTV, which offers a five-day free trial. Alternatively, the episode will be available on-demand on Peacock the following day. Subscribing to Peacock via Prime Video also offers a seven-day free trial.
