Jack Antonoff expressed his contentment with marriage in a “Today” show interview in May, approximately one month before reports surfaced of his split from actress Margaret Qualley. The couple, who married in August 2023, have reportedly separated after less than three years together.
During the interview with anchor Craig Melvin, Antonoff was asked about attending upcoming weddings. He deflected the question by inquiring about Melvin's own marital status. After Melvin mentioned his 15 years of marriage, Antonoff responded, "I love being married, man. I’m happy you love being married too!"
Antonoff did attend the high-profile wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in July. However, Qualley was not present, sparking speculation about the state of their relationship. Antonoff was accompanied by his sister, designer Rachel Antonoff.
Sources have indicated that the couple's relationship had been "rocky." One insider suggested that Antonoff's "particular" nature regarding how he liked things may have contributed to marital issues, stating that Qualley "didn’t always feel like her perspective was being heard or given the same weight." Another source described communication as a "challenge between him and Margaret."
The pair, who began dating in 2021, were married in August 2023 in New Jersey. Their wedding was attended by numerous celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Zoë Kravitz, Channing Tatum, and Lana Del Rey. Antonoff was photographed still wearing his wedding ring in New York City following the news of the split.
